Program Manager, MIT Startup Exchange

 

Ariadna Rodenstein is a Program Manager at MIT Startup Exchange. She joined MIT Corporate Relations as an Events Leader in September 2019 and is responsible for designing and executing startup events, including content development, coaching and hosting, and logistics. Ms. Rodenstein works closely with the Industrial Liaison Program (ILP) in promoting collaboration and partnerships between MIT-connected startups and industry, as well as with other areas around the MIT innovation ecosystem and beyond.

Prior to working for MIT Corporate Relations, she worked for over a decade at Credit Suisse Group in New York and London, in a few different roles in event management and as Director of Client Strategy. Ms. Rodenstein has combined her experience in the private sector with work at non-profits as a Consultant and Development Director at New York Immigration Coalition, Immigrant Defense Project, and Americas Society/Council of the Americas. She also served as an Officer on the Board of Directors of the Riverside Clay Tennis Association in New York for several years. Additionally, she earned her B.A. in Political Science and Communications from New York University, with coursework at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico City, and her M.A. in Sociology from the City University of New York.

Matt oversaw a number of operating and business development roles as Chief Financial Officer, in addition to the fundraising of over $20M in venture capital. Before launching AHAlife, Matt sourced, executed, and oversaw consumer internet investments with Technology Crossover Ventures, a $10Bn venture capital fund. Prior to TCV, Matt began his career in the Media & Telecom Investment Banking Group at Morgan Stanley, focusing on M&A, IPO, and debt issuances for new media and telecom companies.

Jose is the CEO, Chief Data Officer, and Founder of BrightQuery (“BQ”). Jose has over ten years of academic experience working with U.S. statistical agencies, including the IRS, Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Small Business Administration (SBA). Prior to focusing on entrepreneurship, Jose was Faculty & Executive Director of the Fink Center at the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, Adjunct Accounting Professor at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, and Executive Director of the Center for Financial Reporting & Management at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. While at UC Berkeley, Jose founded the Berkeley Charter of Professional Accountancy (BCPA), which has become a leading accounting program. Prior to joining UC Berkeley, Jose was Assistant Professor of Accounting at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and Assistant Professor of Economics at SUNY Buffalo. While at SUNY Buffalo, Jose helped found the Journal of Human Capital published by the University of Chicago Press. In 2011, Jose contributed IP to co-found Powerlytics, which provides aggregated anonymized IRS tax returns on all U.S. companies and households.

While at UC Berkeley, Jose received the 2015 Notable Contribution to the Accounting Literature Award, which is granted annually by the American Accounting Association (AAA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). Jose has published widely in leading academic journals, including The Accounting Review, Small Business Economics, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Review of Economic Dynamics, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, and Economics Letters, as well as research reports on behalf of the SBA. Jose’s academic research focuses on understanding the financial and economic characteristics of U.S. businesses and industries by leveraging regulatory filings and mathematically modeling the state of the economy.

Jose earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago and B.S. degrees in Economics and Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Dr. Forrest E. Meyen is Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Lunar Outpost, the US leader in commercial lunar rover and unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) technology. Dr. Meyen leads payload sales and integration for Lunar Outpost’s 2022 mission to the lunar south pole. He also runs Lunar Outpost’s Mars operations for the MOXIE experiment on NASA’s Perseverance Mars Rover and was instrumental to humankind’s first production of oxygen on Mars. Previously Forrest lead systems engineering teams at Draper developing spacecraft and lunar landers. Forrest earned his doctoral degree at MIT in Aeronautics and Astronautics. While at MIT, Forrest co-founded Raptor Maps, the winner of the 2015 MIT 100K Launch entrepreneurship competition.

He was most recently co-founder and president of PeerAspect, a cloud-based supply chain data management and analytics software platform. His career spans private sector organizations, such as Ernst & Young, GetConnected, and i2 Technologies, as well as public sector organizations, including the Carbon Trust and the United Nations. Sujeesh serves on the Board of Directors for CLASP, a non-profit that focuses on enabling markets for energy efficient appliances globally. Sujeesh holds an M.S. degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Isaac Evans is the leader of r2c, a startup working on giving security tools directly to developers. Previously, he conducted research into binary exploitation bypasses for techniques like control-flow integrity and novel hardware defenses on new architectures like RISC-V as a researcher at the US Defense Department under a SFS program and at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Isaac received his BS/MS degrees in EECS from MIT. Other interests include next-generation programming languages, secure-by-design frameworks, software-defined radio, and the intersection of cryptography and public policy.
