Elevator Pitch
Elevator Pitch
Skylla's mobile robot controllers are designed with people in mind. We focus on robotic technologies for safe, collaborative, and effective operation in human spaces. The Skylla Jetstream Core is a robot intelligence platform, featuring a human-aware navigation system and exceptional endpoint positioning accuracy. Jetstream Core interfaces seamlessly with existing sensors and motor control systems, vastly reducing development costs and enabling fully automated robots at a low cost.
Description
Description
As autonomous mobile robots play increasingly essential roles in automating material handling and machine tending in manufacturing facilities, constant layout change and movement of people and machines pose significant challenges to operating these robots in factories. While many mobile solutions in warehouses and fulfillment centers can handle transporting and other routine tasks, none can meet the stringent agility and positioning accuracy requirements for widespread applications in factories. Skylla’s human-centric Jetstream technology can help businesses accelerate their smart factory transformation initiatives, by deploying Jetstream enabled mobile robots to handle complex tasks in unknown and constantly changing environments. Using data collected from factories and public places, Skylla incorporated a human motion model in the Jetstream controller that can emulate and predict human movements to ensure safe and effective collaboration with people. With direct vision feedback, Jetstream can control a mobile robot’s end effector to within 0.3 mm positioning accuracy, an industry-leading feature.
Technology Description
Technology Description
Skylla’s Jetstream controllers feature an innovative human-aware navigation technology which enables mobile robots to operate in populated and dynamically changing environments, with minimal disturbance to human traffic or operations. The technology has been adopted by a leading railway company in Japan to deploy robots in train stations in Tokyo. For industrial applications, Jetstream controllers allow mobile manipulators to smoothly move and stop to perform object manipulation within 0.3 mm of positioning accuracy. The controllers have been integrated into DMG MORI’s WH-AMR5, the industry’s first autonomous AMR to transport and handle tools and workpieces among multiple CNC machines. Jetstream controllers can be easily integrated with common sensors, actuators and controllers through ROS. Data on the user operations is collected and stored on premise to allow for deep data insights on processes. Skylla also provides professional services to help customers integrate Jetstream into their existing robotic systems and meet their specific requirements.
