Speakers & exhibitors for 2019 MIT R&D Conference - Nov 13

Deadline: October 27, 2019

The MIT Startup Exchange is looking for ~10 MIT-connected startups to present and exhibit at the 2019 MIT Research and Development Conference, Nov. 13.

Each selected startup will have ~3 minutes to present a lightning talk on a science-based technology they are bringing to market, including one compelling use case. The event is attended by 300-400+ senior executives of Global 1000 corporations.

The startup presentations will take place around 11:30 at MIT.

All presenting startups are expected to exhibit during lunch immediately following the Startup Exchange session.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Note: selection will be on a rolling basis, so better to apply early.

We are looking for startups working on applications related to human-technology collaboration, i.e. combined human/machine systems that are more intelligent than either people or machines could be alone.  Technologies should not be limited to AI.  Ideally, startups will have market feedback and existing partnerships.

To apply, please provide the following:

  • brief description of your startup's science-based technology;
  • brief description of current market traction (e.g. pilot, validation results, paying customers, etc.)
  • speaker bio &  a few words on the speaker’s experience as a speaker (optionally, including a video sample);
  • one-paragraph explanation of the unique fit between the event and the startup’s vision, technologies, products, or services.
  •

Eligibility criteria: Only MIT startups with an up-to-date profile in MIT Startup Exchange will be considered to speak & exhibit. STEX25 accelerator startups have priority.

Selected startups will be required to do a practice run (30 min session) at a mutually convenient time to be arranged about 2 weeks prior to the event.

Disclaimer: MIT Startup Exchange  provides introductions that ideally provides open ended discussions in order to share mutual interests and potentially create common ground that incite the parties to collaborate. MIT Startup Exchange intros may eventually lead to mutual partnerships, but that is in not in any way guaranteed by MIT, MIT Corporate Relations, MIT Industrial Liaison Program (ILP) or MIT Startup Exchange. These entities take no responsibility for the outcome of such discussions and take no formal part in such discussions. MIT Startup Exchange and its activities and events are not for purposes of soliciting investment or offering securities.
