Speakers for MIT Paris Symposium

The MIT Startup Exchange is looking for 4-6 MIT-connected startups to present and exhibit at the 2019 MIT Paris Symposium, November 8, 2019. Each selected startup will have ~3 minutes to present a lightning talk on a science-based technology they are bringing to market, including one compelling use case.

MIT ILP's Paris Symposium will be held in Paris on Nov 8th and hosted by Groupe Bouyges.

Coach class airfare, moderate ground travel and 2 nights hotel will be reimbursed for one person per startup.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Note: selection will be on a rolling basis, so better to apply early.

Topics:

 

  • Challenges and opportunities of digital transformation and behavioral evolution.
  • Intrapreneurship, or start-ups collaborations? How to succeed as a large group.
We would like to invite you to present your perspective related to the above theme.
 

To apply, please provide the following:

  • brief description of your startup's science-based technology; 
  • brief description of current market traction (e.g. pilot, validation results, paying customers, etc.)
  • speaker bio &  a few words on the speaker’s experience as a speaker (optionally, including a video sample);
  • one-paragraph explanation of the unique fit between the event and the startup’s vision, technologies, products, or services.
Eligibility criteria: Only MIT startups with an up-to-date profile in MIT Startup Exchange will be considered to speak & exhibit. STEX25 accelerator startups have priority.
 

Selected startups will be required to do a practice run (30 min session) at a mutually convenient time to be arranged about 2 weeks prior to the event.  

Attendees:

We expect attendance of up to 250 people, a mix of:

  • Sponsor’s employees (managers and executives)
  • Sponsor partners (managers and executives of European industries in the areas of construction, IT, telecom, real estate,)
  • Representatives from the public sector,
  • ILP members based in Europe,
  • ILP friends and
  • MIT Alumnus.
