Sync Computing has developed an analog computer capable of solving combinatorial optimization problems exponentially faster than the best digital methods. The Sync system is composed of standard electronic components, thus instantly leveraging the low costs and massive scales of the entire microelectronics industry. The goal of the company is to usher in a new paradigm of computing for applications in resource allocation, drug discovery, materials simulation, machine learning, finance, and encryption.

Sync Computing utilizes a network of coupled nonlinear electronic oscillators to solve combinatorial optimization problems. By exploiting the oscillators' natural tendency to minimize their own states, the system can be programmed to solve arbitrary optimization problems. The Sync system is an entirely new paradigm of computing, free from the memory-bandwidth bottlenecks of traditional computing system. As a result, the Sync system can solve optimization problems exponentially faster than digital computers.
