Investment Management Platform of the Future - Swiss RE

Deadline: February 3, 2020

Swiss RE has implemented their main Investment Management Platform > 10y ago, still using additional applications for similar services and added multiple additional ad on software applications. Besides comparing the known players on the market (e. g. Aladdin, Murex, Charles River, Simcorp, Bloomberg AIM) we would also like to know if there are new players in the market, maybe using better technology.

 Problem statement

  • Reviewing if your investment platform and related infrastructure/process are competitive. (in respect of costs, processes, integration, technology etc.)
  • While having information about the big and know players in the market, there is little knowledge if there are new players with more advanced technology in the field of Investment Management Platforms

How can technology help?

  • A lot of change is expected and can already bee seen in the investment management process, including operations. The new technology could help us to keep up with the development or gives us reliance that our current platform is fit for the future.

What are we looking for?

  • The integrated system should cover (no necessity to have a tick in all boxes):
  • Order management and execution (STP)
  • Portfolio benchmarking and investment/risk analytics & analysis
  • Mandate creation and maintenance process
  • Pre & post trade compliance
  • Entire trade life cycle (incl. settlements &payment)
  • Affirmation/confirmation workflow (incl. SWIFT)
  • Security Market Data management (incl. STP)
  • Pricing hierarchy
