CERAWeek Energy Conference Speaking Opportunity

MIT Startup Exchange is working with IHS Markit and the MIT Energy Initiative to feature MIT Startups as speakers at the CERAWeek® Agora Innovation program, 9 - 12 March 2020, in Houston.

Number of startups: 5-10

Speakers: Founder and C-level only

Format: 20 minute talk followed by 10 minute Q&A

CERAWeek attracts executives, government officials and thought leaders from the energy, policy, technology, and financial industries to Houston each year. In 2019, there were over 5,500 delegates from over 1,000 organizations representing 85 countries. These include over 650 CEOs and Chairmen, over 1,400 C-Suite executives and over 90 ministers and government representatives. Participants encompass all regions and industry segments: oil, natural gas, electric power, coal, nuclear and renewables; as well as technology, finance, mobility and more.  Past speakers include pres. Bill Clinton, pres. George W. Bush; Bill Gates, Jeff Immelt, and more.

CERAWeek Agora Innovation program covers topics from the world of innovation and how the “great wave” of new technology – including blockchain, e-mobility, robotics, additive manufacturing, connectivity, cloud and digital technology – is transforming the energy industry. In 2019 the innovation Agora featured over 400 speakers, more than 270 sessions, and highlighted disruptive technologies and innovations. The Agora hosted a range of additional, exciting communities including start-ups, technologists, investors, academics, energy companies and government officials.

Presentations generally focus on the applications of technologies & innovations, case studies and pitches, they seat 15-20 inside with glass walls for viewing from the outside of the pod for many more (see links below)  Pods run back to back every 30 minutes starting Monday early afternoon through Thursday end of day (we will schedule with the presenter’s topic and preference in mind). The Agora in-review booklet and the videos help illustrate the energy of the Agora

Pod speakers are offered an Agora-only pass (value of $7,000). This pass allows access to all content in the Agora including lunches and breakfasts for the duration of the conference. Additional Agora-only passes for colleagues are also available at a 75% discount of $1,750.  Travel and accommodation are the  responsibility of the presenter.
