Leading SE Asian Company seeks startups in home healthcare and related technologies

Siam Cement Group (SCG) of Bangkok, Thailand is establishing a new business in home healthcare, and look for MIT-connected startups that wish to partner with them on new technologies or field prototypes in Southeast Asia.

Any advanced technology in home healthcare or related is of interest. These could be in areas such as: telemonitoring devices; tele-medicine, medical devices, home diagnostics, rapid diagnoses, sterilization of surfaces and air, etc. Other devices or technologies in this space will be considered.

Interested startups will be made known to the manager at SCG leading this effort, and with approval, a mutual introduction will be made to establish a virtual meeting via Zoom.

Siam Cement Group (SCG) of Bangkok, Thailand, is a US $14.5 billion company with business units in paper/packaging, value-added building materials, and chemical/materials. They have a long history of supporting students and research at MIT. Currently they support a graduate class in medical device technology, as well as students at MIT Sloan.

They have a good contact, and process for working with startup.  As well as past successes with (MIT) startups.  Thery also has venture arm / may invest.

* Note this is a meeting opportunity, meaning there may or may not be a defined project as of the meeting.  The purpose of the meeting is mutual discovery: for you to learn about the company's problem and for them to learn about your products and services.  If there's mutual match, that could lead to more.
