Last chance! Startup Speakers for MIT Wuxi (virtual) Symposium 1/27

MIT ILP's annual Wuxi Symposium will be held virtually on Zoom evening of Wed. Jan. 27th (Jan. 28th Beijing time).

Meeting Theme & areas of interest: IoT, Advanced Manufacturing, New Energy, New Materials, Bio/Life Science, Blockchain.

Selections will be made on a rolling basis. So apply ASAP for best chance.

Attendees: Dozens of local companies. The organizing Program Director will aim to set up breakout room meetings with our local member companies during this virtual meeting.

Number of startups: 8-12

Wuxi city is an hour train ride from Shanghai, and is known as a leader in IoT and Biopharma in China.  It's an innovation hub, and the City has been working with MIT ILP for 8+ years.  Wuxi has a population of 7 million people and nominal GDP of approximately $155B USD (about the size of Hungary). In the recent years, the city has made target investments aimed at developing industries around IoT & sensors, intelligent manufacturing, advanced materials, bio/life sciences and medical devices. Here is a recent int’l event there, World Internet of Things Exposition 2020 successfully concluded in Wuxi, China.

To apply, please provide the following:

  • Your startup's product/services
  • Explanation of the fit between the event and the startup’s vision, technologies, products, or services;
  • One compelling customer/use case
  • A clear tagline for what you do, in 7 words or less, for the conference agenda.  For example, "Expert system for medical decision support" is concise and clear; "AI for digital transformation" is too vague and buzz-wordy.
  • What business development (if any) in/near China

Note that you or your speaker will be required to do a 20-30min dry run about 2 weeks before the event.
