P&G business in AMA is expected to grow significantly in the coming years. The challenge now is to improve productivity as volume increases from production line as well as demand on customer shipments.
Today, full pallet movement operations (to and from racks) in AMA are designed as per the basic normal process of inbound put- away and outbound picking for local shipments. This includes:
There have been initial efforts to improve productivity, such as implementing zoning apps; however, none of these efforts involved automation. The desired solution will automate existing processes or eliminate the need for non-critical processes.
Business Challenge / Needs Definition:
P&G is looking for partners that can help launch affordable automated innovation to achieve a significant headcount reduction while improving productivity inbound and outbound operations in DC by April 2022.
Initial areas of interest for scoping:
Picking Automation (incl. software solutions)
Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR)
Robotic Loading/Unloading Systems
Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGV)
Robotic Indoor Transportation Systems
Scanning Tools & Wearables
Warehouse Layout & Operations Optimization
The desired outcome is a pilot or partnership with P&G to show proof of concept (POC) of the solution. The partner must be able to activate immediately in the Philippines and/or Japan. If successful, the pilot solution or partnership could lead to a longer-term relationship across multiple markets.
If you have ideas and supporting technologies that you believe can deliver disruptive services & solutions to this challenge, we want to hear/partner with you. Where there is a good fit, we are looking to drive agile in-market pilots in AMA with the goal of scaling successful services & solutions. All ideas and submissions will be fully reviewed by our team.

Swiss Precision Diagnostics (SPD) is a leading medical device and FemTech company and is a 50-50 joint venture between P&G and Abbott. Its hero brand, Clearblue, is the global leader in home-use pregnancy and ovulation tests around the world. Clearblue was invented in 1985 and it brought to the market breakthrough technologies such as the first one-step at-home pregnancy test, lateral flow tests that can detect pregnancy in just 1 minute, digital pregnancy tests communicating the results unmistakably in words, fertility monitor with touch-screen- device, connected ovulation tests, etc. SPD also owns the Persona brand, a hormone-test-based contraception medical device available in Europe.
SPD’s global leadership team would like to explore the enabling technologies to detect women’s pregnancy and/or fertility state (menstruations, ovulation period, ovulation confirmation, etc.) in an accurate, easy-to-use way that enables early prediction or effortless & continuous monitoring in the privacy of their home. Hence, we are looking for technologies that can work together or replace a urine test with lateral flow assay, as the gold standard in accuracy and ease of use.
There are several key areas where we would like to focus on finding innovative solutions including those that can enable the consumers to monitor, track & analyze specific physiological (heart rate, heart rate variability, temperature, oxygen saturation), voice, facial changes as well as changes in other biological matrices (sweat, breath, saliva, bodily odors/volatiles). We are also interested in combining existing and/or multiple new technologies.
The geographic focus of this brief is global.
Relevant technology domains may include, but are not limited to:
Always-on temperature measure & analysis
Detailed heart rate variability measure & analysis
At-home Body fluid analysis (blood, saliva, sweat, vaginal discharge)
If you have ideas and supporting technologies that you believe can be disruptive and are looking to drive agile in-market pilots across the world with the goal of scaling successful services & solutions, our team will be happy to work with you. All ideas and submissions will be fully reviewed by our team. We want to hear from you and partner with you.
