2022 MIT Health Science Technologies Conference

Deadline: February 14, 2022

Looking for 8-10 startups to present their tech on April 12 at the 2022 MIT Health Science Technologies Conference:  The Future of Cell & Gene Therapies.

FORMAT: Short Lightning Talks (4-5 mins each) followed by Lunch Exhibit (depending on evolving pandemic circumstances, this in-person event would become virtual). Startups will need to participate in a quick dry run (virtual) to review their slide deck. These events are attended by ILP global corporate members represented by senior executives, as well as by others from the ecosystem, and provide an excellent forum for exploring partnerships and collaboration opportunities between startups and industry.

THEME: Cell and gene therapies and cell regeneration; technologies and approaches that support and advance the treatment of patients; innovations, technologies, manufacturing, analytics and strategies to improve the process development and delivery of cell and gene therapies to patients.

OVERVIEW: The pharmaceutical industry is under growing pressure from patent expirations of major drugs, cost-constrained health care systems, and a demanding regulatory environment. A focus for the industry is to tackle these challenges while increasing the output and quality of cost-effective, new medicines without incurring unsustainable R&D cost. Through new technology and new approaches there is an aspiration to make such improvements while also bringing ever-improved therapeutics to patients faster. In this conference, we will lay out many of the challenges the industry is facing and explore potential solutions coming from academic research and startup endeavors, from early discovery through manufacturing technologies, to clinical studies and beyond.

Note on pandemic protocol Spring 2022 ILP's in-person conferences will be open to fully vaccinated individuals only, excepting those individuals who have a medical condition or religious exemption. Speakers and attendees will use a new application developed at MIT -- Tim Tickets -- to grant campus access or scan into an event.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Note: selection will be on a rolling basis, so apply ASAP.

To apply, please provide the following:

  • -brief description of your startup's technology-based product/services & 1 compelling use case;
