Searching for Plastic-Free Single-Use Fiber Cup/Liner Solutions

Deadline: June 17, 2022

The Coca-Cola Company is the Sector Lead Partner of the NextGen Consortium which is expanding its single-use fiber cup search for qualified solutions that will help to meet global plastic-free requirements.

Deadline

The search to find solutions to identify a 100% recyclable and/or compostable and plastic free fiber to-go cup is open until June 17.

Why Participate?

Selected cup suppliers/innovators will receive an invitation-only opportunity to participate in a matchmaking program to pair their in-development innovations with potential testing and piloting opportunities.

Process

Qualified solutions will be selected to participate in a video interview during which participants will be asked detailed questions about material sourcing, performance, and recoverability, and how the solution qualifies as plastic-free, among other topics. A more detailed intake form response will help facilitate a more productive interview.

The program will match eligible suppliers with appropriate testing opportunities at one or more of the following: MRFs, composting facilities, board converters, cup manufacturers, testing labs (sensory, performance, repulpability/recyclability, plastic detection, others), etc.

Testing support awarded will vary depending on the type of testing needed and status of the solution.
