Speak at the 2024 Bioplus Interphex Korea & Japan Seminar

MIT Industrial Liaison Program (ILP) & MIT Startup Exchange are co-hosting two life sciences events,

1.  Conference in Seoul (South Korea) with KoreaBio, the largest pharma industry organization in Korea) - 2024 Bioplus Interphex Korea, on July 10th - 12th.  

2. Seminar in Tokyo (Japan) with Link-J on July 16th, 2024.

 

Ask: The MIT Startup Exchange team is looking for 4 startups to present and participate in the exhibit of the two events. 

 

Format:

  • Event in Seoul: 7-min presentation (July 10th) and participation at the startup exhibit (July 10th-12th) at the dedicated MIT ILP & STEX booth in the exhibition area (booth size: 6 meters by 6 meters).
  • Event in Tokyo: 10-min presentation followed by Q&A and participation at the startup exhibit. 

 

Focus: Technology, tools, products, or services for drug discovery, delivery, data analytics, process development, and manufacturing related to biological drugs including RNA/DNA, cell, protein, antibody, viral vector, and biosimilar therapeutics.  

 

Audience: 

  • Event in Seoul: executives from major pharma companies who have a presence in Korea: global pharma companies (e.g., Pfizer, Novartis) as well as Korean pharma companies, e.g., Samsung Biologics (Top 5 Global CDMO with a market cap of $50Bn), Yuhan, GC, Hanmi
  • Event in Tokyo: life science related ILP members and prospects, Link J member Life science related companies, pharmaceuticals, CRO, CMO, CDMO and Japanese academia, hospitals.

 

Offer: In addition to the lightning talks and exhibits at the events, the organizers are also planning to arrange 1:1 meetings with ILP member companies, not limited to the pharma companies (e.g., Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motors, LG Chemical, LG Energy Solution, etc.). ILP & Startup Exchange to cover cost of international flights (economy), hotels, and other ground costs (eg. transportation). 

 

Application & Deadline: Please apply by March 30, completing the form making sure to provide clear information about:

  • technology/product/business model
  • use case
  • current market traction (e.g. POCs, pilot, paying customers);
  • why the Korean market is important for your company? 
  • update your Startup Exchange profile

 

NOTEPriority during the selection process will be given to startups that have participated in an Assessment Call or have recently provided an update to the MIT Startup Exchange team. As well as to startups who have not traveled to Asia with the organizers and have not presented recently.
