Fameccanica serves as the R&D division of Angelini Industries, a prominent $5B Italian family-owned company with operations in pharmaceuticals, personal care, machinery, wine, and fragrances. Fameccanica specializes in the design and development of cutting-edge technologies, robotics, and services for industrial production of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), particularly machinery for manufacturing products such as diapers and personal hygiene items.
Challenge
Fameccanica specializes in designing and manufacturing automated production lines for disposable absorbent hygiene products, covering primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging processes. These advanced machines handle large-scale, high-speed operations involving materials such as paper, nonwoven fibers, plastics, and adhesives. During production, the high-speed movement of materials generates dust, while adhesives used in assembly can accumulate on rollers and other machine components. This buildup leads to periodic shutdowns for cleaning and maintenance, impacting efficiency. Please see images for reference.
