Elevator Pitch
Elevator Pitch
PolyJoule develops safe, non-toxic polymer-based energy storage systems designed with sustainability at their core. Our batteries contain no rare earth metals, rely on abundant earth-friendly materials, and operate with exceptional fire safety. By enabling clean, reliable power, PolyJoule supports communities, businesses, and utilities in building a greener, more resilient energy future.
Description
Description
PolyJoule's battery chemistry is synthesized for real-world operating conditions, delivering stable performance across cold and hot climates while maintaining a long service life. The polymer electrode technology enables robust cycling, reduced degradation, and simplified system design, making it well suited for residential, commercial, and grid applications where safety, reliability and minimal maintenance are essential. These attributes allow PolyJoule systems to be deployed in locations where lithium-ion solutions face permitting, insurance, or safety constraints.
Unlike conventional lithium-ion batteries, PolyJoule’s proprietary polymer chemistry eliminates many of the fire, thermal runaway, and environmental risks that have limited battery deployment in dense and highly regulated environments. Since the technology is designed and manufactured in the United States, PolyJoule supports domestic supply chains and long-term manufacturing resilience.
By addressing safety and durability at the chemistry level, PolyJoule expands where and how energy storage can be used to support the clean energy transition. The systems are designed to integrate seamlessly into distributed energy environments, supporting grid resilience, renewable integration, VPP's, and community-scale reliability. PolyJoule works with utilities, developers, and building owners to deliver energy storage solutions that align with regulatory requirements while reducing risk and improving long-term value.
Technology Description
Technology Description
PolyJoule’s batteries are based on a faradaic process in which ions are stored within ultra-thick electrodes through a reversible, oxidation/reduction process. These ultra-thick electrodes are necessary for providing a robust electrochemical (high efficiency, long lifetime) paradigm. The electrodes also optimally designed for ultra-safe, high-efficiency, energy storage applications. PolyJoule technology has been field-proven in commercial environments, operating continuously with no downtime or maintenance since 2021.
