Nextia is the Open Innovation Program powered by Qualtia Alimentos, designed to solve the company’s most critical challenges by collaborating with visionary startups, scaleups, research centers, and industry allies. Nextia is looking for high-impact solutions that can transform the food industry across logistics, snacking, and in-store execution.
Who?
- Startups, scaleups with a validated MVP or a stable business model
- Small and medium-sized enterprises
Ideal profile
- Market-tested product, service, or business model
- Scalability potential
- Recurrent revenue is preferred but not mandatory
Eligibility requirements
- Legally established companies (individual or corporate entities) compliant with tax regulations
- Capability to co-execute pilot tests in Mexico together with Qualtia
Challenges (Convocatorias)
1. IN-STORE EXECUTION (PROMOTORIA): looking for solutions that maximize the impact of sales promotion at the point of sale.
2. DISTRIBUTION: looking for solutions that optimize logistical efficiency for the delivery of refrigerated food.
3. SNACKS: looking for solutions that challenge the protein snack market with a differentiated value proposition.
4. POST-SALES: looking for solutions to automate and digitalize the post-sales process.
Benefits for selected participants
- Direct collaboration with Qualtia Alimentos, a major food industry player in Mexico
- Funded pilot test in a real operational environment
- Access to infrastructure and mentoring (plants, labs, technical experts)

Timeline and Application process
- Deadline for application: September 30th
- Startups can apply to as many challenges as they choose. Please review in detail the description of each challenge and complete all information on the respective form to ensure your application is successfully submitted.
