This year the New Frontiers of Entrepreneurship 2023 symposium will consist of two full days of keynote speakers, lab tours, and thought leadership talks on topics such as energy and climate, disruptive technology, AI, cybersecurity, and much more.
This symposium highlights the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship's mission to continue global growth and impact through entrepreneurship and innovation. Our partnerships with corporate innovators are allowing top global companies to grow and adapt to the latest technologies, ideas, and resources available from the MIT ecosystem.
This year will feature two days of programming with the following schedule:

Founder, Boston Venture Studio
Paul is the founder of Boston Venture Studio and has previously co-founded and successfully sold six startups – Kayak, Lola, Moonbeam, GetHuman, Boston Light, and Intermute. Paul is also the founder of four nonprofits – Summits Education in Haiti, Embrace Boston, The Winter Walk for Homelessness, and the Bipolar Social Club. Paul is the subject of Tracy Kidder’s book “A Truck Full of Money”. You can hear an interview with Paul on “How I Built This” with Guy Raz”, and you can watch the video of his TED talk.
Director, MIT Media Lab
Dava Newman is the director of the MIT Media Lab. She holds the Apollo Program Professor of Astronautics chair at MIT and is a Harvard–MIT Health, Sciences, and Technology faculty member. She was named a MacVicar Faculty Fellow (a chair for making significant contributions to undergraduate education) and served as NASA Deputy Administrator from 2015–2017, nominated by President Obama and unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate.

Davide Marini is cofounder and CEO of Inkbit, an MIT startup pioneering the use of machine vision in 3D printing. Prior to Inkbit, Marini was CEO of Firefly BioWorks, an MIT startup that developed a new microfabrication technology by combining photolithography with microfluidics. Firefly’s first product allowed multiplexed detection of cellular and circulating microRNAs on standard flow cytometers. The company was acquired by Abcam. Marini holds a BS in industrial engineering from Politecnico of Milan and a PhD in mechanical engineering from MIT.
