Proctor & Gamble is exploring solutions to create a DTC-like checkout experience without the overhead cost associated with typical DTC’s (shipping, inventory, accounting) to improve the customer buying experience. 

a. Anchor challenge: Identifying a headless commerce option that meets our unique needs. 

b. Solution Requirements: 

1) Vendor to be PCI Compliant 

2) Product + Pricing + Stock Reusable Interface for Product Detail Pages 

3) Accepts consumer payments (Credit Card, Apple Pay, Venmo, etc.) 

4) Direct Retailer Integration for real-time SKU information (Price, Stock Status, Shipping Costs) 

5) Pass along customer order details to retailers for order fulfillment and sale ownership 

6) Retrieve tracking information from retailers to populate in customer account for order details 

7) Vault Card for Subscriptions 

8) Prepare/combine consumer payments, and inject to retailers (Merchant of Record) 

9) Sales data (non-PII data) shared with P&G 

10) Accepts promo/discount codes
