Speak at 2023 MIT Innovations in Management (March 8)

Deadline: February 2, 2023

The Startup Exchange team is looking for 10 startups to present their technology/companies during the Startup Lightning Talks and participate at the lunch Exhibit on March 8, at the 2023 MIT Innovations in Management Conference.

Format: Startup Lightning Talks around noon (5 mins each), followed by Startup Lunch Exhibit (1 hr).

Focus: AI platforms, management information systems, and tools for developing and controlling management processes.

Audience: ILP corporate members and MIT community.

Overview: On top of the “business-as-usual” challenges, company leaders must deal with highly complex and uncertain geopolitical and macroeconomic scenarios, particularly for global companies. Some of the uncertainties these leaders have to deal with are inflation, rising interest rates, higher energy costs, and fear of recession in the macroeconomic arena. If this wouldn’t be enough, the geopolitical environment is not less stressful: trade wars, US-China tensions. the war in Ukraine, the Russian Federation’s expansionism. a potential cold war and the risk of nuclear incidents.

Finally, businesses must deal with the diversification of their supply chains, potential relocation of manufacturing plants, possible energy supply restrictions, aggressive sustainability goals, and the consequences of the recent pandemic, like the “great resignation” and the “new normal.” Join us to hear from MIT faculty and MIT Startup Exchange entrepreneurs to learn their views on dealing with some of these pressing issues and how companies can prepare for a possible recession, lead creatively and innovate in times of uncertainty.
